Born To Be Wild

Support the Trust

It is always in need of continued care.

Over forty years the Old St. Thomas Church Restoration and Maintenance Trust has raised and overseen more than $1.5 million of restorative work — a complete new foundation, roof and truss repairs, window re-glazing, tower re-cladding, brick re-pointing, plaster refinishing.
The repairs continue in cycles. Windows need painting, roofs need replacing, brickwork needs repointing, the tower needs re-cladding. Gifts come from designated giving, wills and bequests, foundation donations, and grants such as the Ontario Heritage Trust — but it is community support that keeps this building standing.
The Old Church of St. Thomas is such a rare and precious example of an early church that everything possible should be done to maintain its integrity.
